• What is Therapeutic Riding?

  Therapeutic riding is horseback riding lessons adapted for people with disabilities. The rider learns horsemanship skills both on and off the horse. Therapeutic riding aims to provide social, educational and sport opportunities in recreational horseback riding lessons adapted to individuals with disabilities.

• What is Hippotherapy?

  Hippotherapy is treatment with the help of a horse, where licensed therapists utilize the movement of the horse to achieve specific therapy goals. Hippotherapy is always one part of an overall treatment plan, with a variety of exercises and activities taking place both on and off the horse. The family is involved with goal setting, and carrying out home exercise programs so that children can develop to their fullest potential.
