Therapeutic Riding

Quest Therapeutic Services provides a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program for children with a range of physical, emotional, cognitive, and social special needs.

Therapeutic riding is a life-long, interactive recreational activity. Many children develop meaningful relationships and a sense of independence and responsibility that can last a lifetime. Similar to swimming, therapeutic riding strengthens muscles and improves posture and endurance. It differs from our hippotherapy program, which utilizes the skills of a therapist to achieve specific therapy goals. The goal of therapeutic riding is to teach adapted riding skills.
 

Our PATH certified instructors provide specialized, adaptive teaching methods that allow children to learn horsemanship skills both on and off the horse. Our year-round sessions are conducted either privately or in a group format, allowing for socialization in a peer setting.
