SLICE Summer Intensive Program
At Quest, we understand that our waitlist—particularly for after-school appointments—can be lengthy. To help meet the needs of families and provide meaningful access to services, we created our summer intensive program, SLICE (Strength, Learning, Interaction, Creation, and Exploration).
Developed in response to the challenges families faced coming out of COVID, SLICE was designed to reconnect children with the powerful benefits of nature-based play. This program encourages kids to explore, get messy, get curious, and engage fully with the world around them—fostering confidence, creativity, and growth in a natural and joyful way.
SLICE sessions take place 2–3 times per week, allowing therapists to target and achieve therapeutic goals within a shorter timeframe. Throughout the summer, Quest transforms its entire therapeutic environment every two weeks to match engaging, child-driven themes such as “Bee Yourself,” “Under the Sea,” “Camping Week,” and many more.
By combining intensive therapy with imaginative play and outdoor exploration, SLICE offers a dynamic, meaningful summer experience that supports progress while keeping therapy fun.
Is SLICE Right for My Child?
SLICE may be a great fit if your family:
- ☀️ Is available and able to commit to consistent attendance throughout the program
- ☀️ Is not planning extended summer travel during the session period
- ☀️ Is looking for short-term, intensive therapy to support specific goals
- ☀️ Has a child who enjoys active, hands-on, and outdoor play
- ☀️ Is seeking a structured program that still feels like summer camp
- ☀️ Values a nature-based, creative approach to therapy
Consistent participation allows our therapists to maximize progress and ensure each child receives the full benefit of the SLICE program.
