Volunteer Opportunities

Our programs simply would not be possible without the dedication and support of our volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in every aspect of Quest, and we are always excited to welcome new team members.

Do you enjoy working with children? Love being around horses? Volunteers at Quest support physical and occupational therapy sessions, including hippotherapy, where the movement of the horse is used as a therapeutic tool. Prior horse experience is preferred as well as a willingness to learn, show up consistently, and support our children with kindness and patience.

To create meaningful relationships and consistency for the children we serve, we ask volunteers to commit to at least 2.5 hours per week. This ongoing commitment allows our kids to feel comfortable, confident, and supported during their sessions.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

  • Leading horses during therapy sessions

  • Serving as a side walker to support children while mounted

  • Grooming as requested

  • Assisting with daily horse care

  • Helping with special projects, facility upkeep, or office support

Required Clearances

All volunteers must complete the following clearances prior to their first day at Quest:

  • PA State Police Criminal Record Check

  • PA Child Abuse History Certification

  • FBI Criminal Background Check (required if you have not lived in PA for 10 consecutive years)

Volunteer Schedule Needs

We are currently seeking volunteers for our scheduled therapy sessions. While a minimum commitment of 2.5 hours is requested, we are grateful for any time you are able to share.

  • Tuesday: 2:30–7:00 PM
